NFSU2 PC low fps. Trying to finish the older NFS games again and while Underground had no problems, Underground 2 on my pc is getting really low fps, like 30-40fps on congested roads. I also noticed that its only using 5% of cpu and gpu. I understand the cpu usage but watching some benchmarks on youtube people are getting 90+% gpu usage and I have installed ExtraOptions in NFSU2. So I have a problem. When pressing some times the L button, it will let me change different camera modes that don't exist and I can access the debug camera to fly around Bayview. However, attempting to turn around, it will only let me turn 180 degrees. I can't go back and see if I get limited by this. Hey, i have recently cracked nfs underground 1 on my windows 10 computer (i have 2 pc copies and 1 ps2 copy, but can't use them because i dont have a cd drive in my pc but i find it fair that i download it like this when ive alredy purchased it three times) but it wont start up. everywhere i have googled the solutions told me to use backwards compatibility with windows xp and windows 7 and 8 BetterDragon2. • 2 yr. ago. Without modding, remove or rename the intro video in the game files and save the game, rename the file back to restore the file or keep it renamed. Between those 2, Midnight Club 3 is 100x better. Unlike NFS Underground 2, Midnight Club 3 doesn't have a Visual Reputation bar tied to the progression which means you can customize your cars in any way you want as long you have the $$$ to do so. I fix it by going into Need for Speed Underground 2’s install directory then to MOVIES and any scene with an “_en” remove that from the scene name. (EX: rename Scene01_en.vp6 to Scene01.vp6) If it’a not an english copy it might still have an underscore followed by two letters, remove that anyway. Hope this helps.

ThatChrisFella • 1 yr. ago. I just checked the compatibility site and it's in the 'starts' category, so it has a lot of issues. The last report described having black screens in the menus, but (assuming by pressing the right buttons) they got into the game and were able to race with graphical issues. There isn't anything you can do.

I guess try backing up your save file, reinstall a fresh copy, and execute the imagecfg.exe file on it before starting it up and see if that solves it. I see. I guess I'll try imagecfg, then. Not sure it'll work, as I have a feeling a system update that I applied long ago killed something for me.
